About
After retiring from Moore Public Schools in 2022, I spent time praying and seeking the Lord’s direction for the next season of my life. Over the years, I’ve been blessed to teach vocal music, music theory, middle level social studies, and English Language Arts — both at-level and honors. Teaching has always been a calling for me, and I am grateful for every student and every classroom the Lord has placed in my path.In this new chapter, I am excited to welcome adult learners into a peaceful, encouraging piano studio. Whether returning to music after many years or beginning for the first time, I love helping adults grow in confidence and creativity at the piano. As a longtime worship team pianist and keyboard player, I also enjoy teaching students how to read and play from chord charts and how to accompany contemporary worship music with joy and freedom.When my children were young, I taught private piano and voice and founded Edmond Homeschool Vocal Music in my home. I continue to serve as an accompanist for Canterbury Youth Voices and for public and private school music students across the Oklahoma City area—work that keeps me connected to young musicians and to the choral community I love.At the heart of everything I teach is a desire to share Christ’s love through music. My hope is that each student who enters my studio feels encouraged, valued, and supported as they discover the gift of making music.
